SnowGoose

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

SnowGoose Alpha & Bravo

The SnowGoose CQ-10A Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), NSN 1550-01-505-3010, versatile, legacy aerial cargo delivery system first used during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in support of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), standing as the 10th designated UAV in the US Department of Defense (DOD), and the first with a “C” for “Cargo” designation. With a payload capacity of up to 575 lbs (260.8 kg), the SnowGoose can carry cargo in six individual bays, making it ideal for a variety of missions. Leveraging MMIST’s advancements in autonomous guidance and precision delivery, the SnowGoose ensures reliable and efficient operations.

The SnowGoose UAV can perform fully autonomous flights within authorized airspace, following a pre-programmed mission plan. Its operations are monitored and controlled from a SATCOM ground control station, ensuring seamless oversight and command. The modular design of its payload bays allows for easy integration of various equipment packages, enabling multi-mission capabilities to meet diverse operational needs.

More recently, MMIST has developed the SnowGoose CQ-10 “Bravo”, which enables the system to launch itself without the need for ground support equipment – enabling cargo delivery and extraction from remote or denied locations. This variant offers near vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and has 4-times the range of its predecessor.
